Hair Era's

Johns, M. (2012) Pintrest. Available at: http://uk.pinterest.com/milliejohns/wig-wonderland/ (Accessed: 6 October 2014).
From left to right in the rows on pictures are hairstyles from the 1910's, 1920's, 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. I decided to create a mood board so i could gain a better understanding of hair through the eras being able to visualise all the eras together and looking at the hair creates a clean definition of the eras i am more interested in. I love the shapes within the 40's and 50's styles there is a lot of shape, varied definition and elagance within the styles compared to the 70's and 80's.

I further looked the some off the first eras the used wigs: the Egyptians, Romans and Ancient greeks again putting the images together i can see the styles that i prefer, the interesting elements within the Ancient Grecian styles combining curls with plaits and twists creates varies of texture within the styles an element i am interested in compared to the straight style of the Egyptians.
