Step 1:
Section the hair on either side and all the way round the head from the temple and tie into a tight sleek pony tail in the centre of the head. repeat this again on another section of hair from behind the ear and take the section diagonally up to the centre this will give you a cleaner line, do this again on the last section.
Step 2:
Take small sections from the pony tails as if you would do if you were making a bun and use the curling tong to create shape. Backcomb at the base of each of these sections and double pin in a cross motion at the base of the barrel curl. keeping within the centre of the head to create the mohawk look.
Step 3:
When finished use product either hair spray or serum flatten down the sides to perfect the look.
The final outcome worked very well my partners hair was coloured blue at the ends and i feel this made the overall look very interesting and tied into the whole punk rock theme from were the mohawk originates from well. The look was easy to create and is a easy way to create an interesting look quickly i would love to do this on longer hair to really exaggerate the style.
